Production & Quality

Inspect, resolve and prevent quality problems

QMS covers inspections, SPC, nonconformities, corrective actions, audits and supplier quality. Failed checks and shop floor events open nonconformities automatically.

An in-process inspection runs against an approved plan.

What it does

  1. 01

    Nonconformities and CAPA

NCR and CAPA registers keep statuses and history. Closing an NCR or confirming a CAPA can require an e-signature.

  2. 02

    Inspections and SPC

In-process and incoming inspections, SPC charts, MSA studies and AQL matrices cover measurement and sampling.

  3. 03

    Complaints, audits and suppliers

Customer complaints get an 8D report. Audits follow templates and a yearly schedule. Suppliers get ratings and SCARs.

Where the data comes from

  • Manual entry: registers, inspections, documents, audits and costs.
  • MES events: SPC rule breaks, operator defects, scrap above a threshold and quality Andon calls.
  • HSE, GEMBA, MES Service and Engineering add findings, inspections and released changes.

Works with

Good to know

  • QMS has no report generator. Cyclical reports are built in Reporting.
  • Calibration certificates are issued in CMMS. QMS shows the instruments.
  • QMS covers one plant at a time. Each register shows the plant you work in.
